We had a FANTASTIC day of Jumpin' and Southern Winter Games!  110 Polar Bears leapt into the waters of Lake Lanier.  Best Jumps were 1st Place:  Carey, Susie and Callie Sartain, Sarah Grace Wells and Hayden Couch.   2nd place was the Double Trouble team of Matthew Carlisle and Tom Kelly.  Best Costume Honors went to Gainesville City Councilman - George Wangeman for his dry land Polar Bear and John DePalma for his Swimming - Wet Polar Bear.

The Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club

SOUTHERN WINTER GAMES and

Tenth Annual Polar Bear Swim will be Monday - January 1 from 2pm to 4pm.... We're jumpin' at 3pm

 

 

The Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club will host our first Winter Carnival with the SNOW Palace Maze, "Ice Blocking", "Snow Ball Toss", "Cross Country Skiing", "Chili - Chili Cook off", "Southern Winter Games" and more!  The Winter Carnival will run from 2pm to 4pm.  The Polar Bear Swim will be at 3pm.  All activities will be on the Olympic Finish Tower Side of the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue - 3105 Clarks Bridge Road - Gainesville, GA  30506
