March 8, 2006 (Gainesville, GA) – Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival to host awards luncheon for the Lula Bridge Race on March 18
The annual Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club – Lula Bridge Marathon Race will be held on Saturday – March 18. This is a 20k, 10k or 5k race for just about any boat you can paddle! The USACK Marathon Committee has made the Lula Bridge Race an “A” points level race on their marathon racing tour and the race is a part of the Georgia Racing series, so the event is sure to draw some top paddlers from throughout the region!
Many thanks to the Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival for hosting the awards luncheon for the Lula Bridge Race. The luncheon will be held immediately following the race in the boathouse at the Lanier ’96 Olympic Venue.
The 11th Annual Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will be held on September 9, 2006. Look for regular weekly practices to start this spring! We will be taking Junior and possibly an open or masters team to the Tampa Dragon Boat Festival on April 29. We are looking for volunteers to become a part of the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club Dragon Boat Program and racing team!
