COURSE: The event will be held at the Lanier 96 Olympic Venue at Clarks Bridge Park in Gainesville, Georgia. The course is set on flat, deep water with no current.

The course will be set and open for practice June 2. Check for map online soon. Local traffic patterns must be observed.
ENTRY FEE: Entry fee is $40.00 per person BY THE PRE-REGISTRATION DATE of Saturday, May 27. Entry fee will increase to $50.00 for entries received May 28 – June 3. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after May 27. NO entries for trial classes accepted after 5:00 PM June 2. Fees are payable to Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club. Non-trials classes may pre-register or register the race day by 8:00 AM.
USACK MEMBERSHIP: All participants must hold current USACK membership. $10 event only memberships are available.
TRIALS BOAT CLASSES AND SPECIFICATIONS: ICF specifications and race rules will apply for marathon ICF canoes and kayaks. ICF Team classes will be Junior and Senior classes for K-1M, K-1W, K-2M, K-2W, C-1, C-2. Athletes may be required to have their boat inspected immediately following trials. For any questions about the ICF race rules, including the use of electronic devices, please contact Barend Spies Barend_Spies@homedepot.com.
NON-TRIALS CLASSES: Running the 21 K course: USCA C-1, C-2 (Gender and age classes will depend on entries. Three entries will be required to create a new class. If there is interest, a 21K USCA class will also be offered.) Running the 21K course: ICF Masters, Juvenile and Bantam K-1M, K-1W, K-2M, K-2W, C-1, C-2, surf ski, sea kayak, and recreational boat.
TRIALS COMPETITORS
MEETING:
The
competitors meeting will cover team selection process, course description, race
rules, description of starts procedures; boat number assignment and drawing for
start order. All junior and senior Trials athletes should plan on attending.
Non-trials competitors are also encouraged but to attend. Friday, June 2, 5:00
PM at the Finish Tower.
FACILITIES: Rest rooms, showers and changing areas will be provided at the Olympic Boathouse. You can camp for the weekend for $15. Contact Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club for arrangements. BOAT RENTAL: Limited boat rental is available through the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club. Please call the club at 770-287-7888 or email to Devri Robertson devri_robertson@yahoo.com for prices and availability.
Dinner June 3 - Saturday afternoon at 5:30 at the boathouse. Free to competitors - additional tickets $10. Join us for dinner, paddling videos and camaraderie!
