Early registration is $20.00 and must be postmarked by December 11, 2011.
Registration fee is $25.00 after December 11. Family jump is $50. for maximum of
4 members of immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister or combination).

The Last Moonlight Paddle of the Season will
be held Friday, October 7. Please arrive by 6:30pm.

Fall 2011 Season
This 6-week introductory racing program provides youth ages 10-15
with the opportunity to learn how to paddle and compete
in several different types of canoes and kayaks.
The parent registration meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 15th
at 7:00pm in the boathouse. Practices begin the week of August 22nd
and the final regatta is on Saturday, October 1st.

16th ANNUAL HONG KONG
ATLANTA DRAGONBOAT FESTIVALSeptember 10, 2011

WOW!
The 2011 Atlanta Dragon Boat Festival is now history. In near perfect conditions on the Eve of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, folks from across the nation and the world converged for a fantastic regatta.
During our live broadcast on The LCKC Channel, almost 100,000 individual viewers watched some or all of the event, with viewers from China, Europe, and across the US. We are proud to have hosted this event again, and we're thankful to all the volunteers who made this festival a success.
Thanks to all the teams, sponsors and athletes for their efforts in today's races, and a BIG thank you to the Hong Kong Association of Atlanta for allowing us to host this amazing day every year. We look forward to the 2012 festival!!

Congratulations to ALL LCKC athletes and coaches upon winning the 2011 Flatwater Sprint National Championship Title! This is the 10th Title for LCKC and the fourth consecutive year that LCKC has won. LCKC also took home the trophy for the most points in the juvenile and senior divisions.
We have now won ten titles in fifteen years! Previous years were: 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
The LCKC Masters Team also took the title for the Masters Championships on Sunday. Congratulations to all the Masters athletes, many of whom have
volunteered the past three days for the Sprint Nationals and then raced today to bring home the title. We are VERY proud of you.
A HUGE THANK YOU to the many, many volunteers who worked the event. This event was made possible ONLY by the volunteers who have worked for months to prepare for the event and those who have worked during the event to make it a success. It would not have been possible without each and every volunteer.
We also pass along many, many 'thank yous' from the other teams who were made to feel welcome and were given a wonderfully run regatta by our Officials. Finally, a special THANK YOU to our President and Event Coordinator Doug Smith and the Nationals Organizing Committee for a great event.

14th Annual Polar Bear Swim
Saturday, January 1st, 2011 - 2pm

Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club
Gainesville, GA
The 14th Annual Polar Bear Swim is almost here! All volunteers need to be at the venue by 1:00pm. We will need a few hands earlier in the morning to put the finishing touches on the venue so if you can help please come on out earlier. The venue will open at 10:30am.
Support the youth of our community by being a sponsor of the 2011 Polar Bear Swim. This event has been the most attention getting activity we do at LCKC. A fun way to start the year for many, it is also a fund raiser for the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club.
